Register for trade school

Conestoga College is a Training Delivery Agent (TDA) for the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) for many apprenticeship programs in the industrial, construction, motive power and service sectors.

Conestoga offers apprenticeship training in both day release and block training at our various campuses.

Offer of classroom training

To receive an offer of classroom training, you must have an employer sponsor and be registered as an apprentice with Skilled Trades Ontario.

As an apprentice in Ontario, you must remain a member in good standing with Skilled Trades Ontario throughout your entire apprenticeship.

First-time apprentices at Conestoga


  1. You must have your offer of classroom training from Skilled Trades Ontario.
    • You will need the client ID number and the class number on your offer.
  2. Get your Conestoga student number by emailing apprentice@conestogac.on.ca
  3. To register and pay for your seat online:

Returning apprentices to Conestoga


  1. You must have your offer of classroom training from Skilled Trades Ontario.
    • You will need the client ID number and the class number on your offer.
  2. You must have your Conestoga student number (located on your previous student card, payment receipt or timetable).
  3. To register and pay for your seat online:
    • Log in to the Conestoga Student Portal.
    • Select the Financial tab.
    • Select Apprenticeship Registration.

Next steps

You will receive an email confirming your registration is complete. If you do not receive an email, please contact apprentice@conestogac.on.ca.

Once you have registered and paid, visit Orientation & support before attending trade school to prepare for your success and find more information about your first day of class.
