Conestoga College awards and scholarships

Student Financial Services administers many awards, bursaries, scholarships and academic grants. Visit awards for more information or to apply.

Many program-specific awards are administered by individual programs. Students should speak to their faculty or program coordinator about additional awards available for their program.

Canerector Foundation Scholarship in the Skilled Trades

Conestoga College is pleased to announce a generous donation from the Canerector Foundation to support 120 post-secondary skilled trades students over the next four years through the Canerector Foundation Scholarship in the Skilled Trades. The Foundation’s support will help remove financial barriers for students pursuing their education.

Eligible recipients will be awarded a $1,000 entrance scholarship, in addition to $1,000 per term. The maximum total scholarship awarded to each student, including the entrance scholarship, will be $5,000. Scholarship recipients (Canerector Scholars) will act as mentors and ambassadors for skilled trades continuing to build capacity and strength desperately needed in the trade sector in the local region and beyond.

Eclipse Automation

Eclipse Automation has generously provided support to students enrolled full-time in Conestoga College's School of Trades & Apprenticeship and School of Engineering & Technology through the establishment of these awards. The awards by Eclipse Automation not only help students build successful careers, but also contribute to a more inclusive and skilled workforce in the engineering and trades sectors.

Magna Scholarships

Magna International has generously provided support to students enrolled full-time in Conestoga College's School of Trades & Apprenticeship and School of Engineering & Technology through the establishment of the Magna Scholarships. Selected post-secondary students will receive a one-time $2,500 scholarship.

Schulich Builders Scholarship

Schulich Builders scholarships are awarded to students enrolling in the full-time certificate and diploma programs within eligible skilled trade fields at participating Ontario colleges. Conestoga College is grateful to the Schulich Foundation to be a participating college.

Scholarships are valued at up to $40,000 ($20,000 per academic year) and will support the costs of tuition, living expenses, and tools. Schulich Builders (scholarship recipients) will benefit from internal resources at the college to enhance their student experience and assist in their employment within their relevant field in the skilled trades upon graduation. Schulich Builders scholarships aims to recognize and enable Ontario's future skilled trade workers, with an annual investment of over $3 million through top Ontario colleges.

The Schulich Builders Scholarship will award 10 scholarships to in-coming Conestoga College students enrolled in an eligible skilled trades certificate or diploma with a Fall term start.
