Program description - September 2026

The Bachelor of Policing is a 3-year applied degree program designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and applied education necessary to pursue a career in law enforcement. This comprehensive program combines theoretical study with hands-on experience to prepare graduates for the challenges and responsibilities of working in criminal justice services. The program curriculum covers a wide range of subjects related to law enforcement, criminal and social justice. You will learn about criminal law, investigative techniques, community policing and the social determinants of crime. You will also study topics such as ethics, human rights, conflict resolution, and working with complex populations to develop a well-rounded understanding of the roles and responsibilities of police officers in society. In addition to classroom instruction, the program places a strong emphasis on applied education. You will have the opportunity to participate in simulations, scenario-based exercises, and field placements to apply your knowledge in real-world settings. Overall, the 3-year Bachelor of Policing applied degree program offers a comprehensive and practical education for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their communities through a career in law enforcement. .

The Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) is a needs-based program designed to help eligible Ontario students cover the cost of post-secondary education. Awards & scholarships
