Program description

In a rapidly evolving global sales landscape, the services of eCommerce professionals with leadership and technical knowledge are highly valued. These eCommerce professionals are multi-disciplinary experts, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills, who are capable of envisioning, planning, managing, and executing organizational needs and operational considerations related to eCommerce practice. This two-term Graduate Certificate will empower those interested in pursuing a new career in eCommerce management, or further refining and deepening their skills in eCommerce, to gain current and relevant employability skills for this growing field of expertise.

This program introduces current and future trends and impacts of eCommerce practice viewed through the lens of varying eCommerce models and organizational sizes. You will explore various job types and teams within an eCommerce organization, as well as refine your own professional practice with opportunities to work in teams, develop business proposals, analyze real-world eCommerce scenarios, manage timelines, budgets and projects, summarize and create action plans based on data analysis, as well as pitch ideas and communicate strategic plans to various audiences. In the final capstone course, you will have an experiential opportunity to act as an eCommerce entrepreneur and create a real-world eCommerce business of your own.
