Program description - September 2026

Design beautiful spaces with Conestoga's Interior Decorating diploma.

If you're a high school graduate with a passion for design, creativity and transforming interiors, Conestoga's two-year Interior Decorating diploma prepares you for a vibrant career in the decorating industry. This full-time program combines artistic vision with technical expertise, helping you master the skills needed to bring spaces to life.

You'll learn from industry professionals through studio, lab and lecture experiences, enhanced by field trips and guest speakers. Courses cover colour theory, textiles, finishes, fixtures, space planning, drafting, and 2D and 3D visual communication using industry-standard software. You'll also build business and entrepreneurship skills to prepare for freelance or studio-based work. In your final term, a field placement provides hands-on experience with employers such as design firms, kitchen and bath companies, showrooms, magazines and home staging businesses.
