Program description - September 2026

Marketing research affects every aspect of a business including brand, product, customer service, marketing, and sales. By gaining insights from data, you can understand how your audience behaves and feels. This information can empower organizations to meet customer needs and mitigate risk. As more organizations rely on data to drive strategic planning and decision-making, there is an increased demand for graduates capable of performing sophisticated business intelligence tasks.

This one-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate program will prepare you for a career in this high-demand area. You will gain the knowledge and skills that you need to support real-world business decision-making and planning through in-depth research collection, data management, and data insights.

You will be empowered through this program with real-world problems, critical business decision-making and implementing strategic solutions to foster business growth. You will have the opportunity to formulate research questions, develop research designs, execute research from primary and secondary sources, perform data analysis, and interpret results. You will leverage key insights to prepare and communicate complex business recommendations through data-driven presentations and storytelling to recommend a corporate strategy. This program includes an emphasis on emerging research tools and techniques and an adherence to professional and strategic presentations.
