Program description

With so many career paths in engineering technology, choosing can be difficult. Experience hands-on learning in labs and applied theory in this certificate program. You will be introduced to various engineering disciplines such as robotics, architecture-construction, computer programming, electrical, civil, mechanical design, woodworking, and more.

The Technology Foundations program will equip you for success at college by developing your study and time management skills and familiarity with technologies and college resources. You will upgrade your math to the level required for Conestoga's engineering technology programs and gain a solid physics and computer applications background. We are here to support you every step of the way with one-on-one attention in specially designed tutorials and courses delivered by helpful faculty who are dedicated to your progress.

Our graduates have found successful careers in engineering fields by pursuing further education at the diploma level and beyond.

Completing this program guarantees admission to the first year of many engineering technology programs provided graduates have simultaneously applied through Ontario Colleges and earned all credits, achieving a minimum program average of 65% (including a minimum 65% average in both math courses combined). Some credits earned in Technology Foundations will transfer to other programs.
