Program description

Career Development Professional is a graduate certificate program that prepares graduates to enter the career development sector. The world of work is rapidly changing, and new careers are emerging to meet current and future workforce needs.

Career Development Professionals provide information, advice and guidance related to career exploration, skill acquisition, job search and maintenance. This program provides you with training to enter and advance in career development in positions such as employment advisors, career resource specialists, job developers, career counsellors, or career management professionals. This program may also appeal to you if you're already a practitioner working in the field who wants to gain additional formal training, job coaching experience, professional development, or to receive your National Career Development Practitioner designation.

The Career Development Professional graduate certificate program can help you master the 16 key competencies which are the basis for the Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP) examination.
