Program description

Are you interested in how machinery works? Do you like problem-solving and enjoy hands-on work? Then consider becoming a Millwright. Millwrights install, maintain, and repair machinery in various industries and are often called equipment doctors. Millwrights are essential for assembling, disassembling, and moving machinery, as well as performing precision work to align and calibrate equipment to ensure it runs smoothly.

Millwrights work in many sectors, including manufacturing, energy, construction, mining and the food industry. All these sectors require these experts to keep their machinery running efficiently. The versatility of millwrights allows them to adapt to changes, ensuring their skills are always in demand, resulting in job security and competitive salaries.

This fully funded pre-apprenticeship program will provide you with a unique opportunity to prepare for this career. During the first part of the program, you will learn foundational skills and concepts which will prepare you to complete the first level of the Millwright apprenticeship trade schooling. The program includes electrical and welding courses as well as trade calculations and employment strategies. The program will end with industry specific safety training and an opportunity for two months of paid work experience.

As a graduate, you may choose to pursue an apprenticeship as a millwright or employment in a related trade. Apply now and turn your potential into a promising career!
