Program description - January 2025

Technical Product Managers (TPM) are multi-disciplined organizational enablers of software and hardware products. With the strong and growing tech sector in Waterloo (our own Silicon Valley North), local companies need talented TPMs who can bring skills in communications, technologies, leadership, and creativity to an organizational objective. As a position working with multiple teams in a company, this program suits those with an engineering or technology background who are curious by nature and are driven to create new innovations that provide novel and valuable solutions to real-world problems.

Throughout this two-term Ontario College Graduate Certificate, you will advance your skills in digital domains, leadership, collaboration, and decision making, all in a focused effort to affect the creation of a new market-focused technology. You will also gain valuable knowledge in financial management, vendor relations, strategy, agile analysis, design, and product management techniques.

As a graduate, you will have many of the skills necessary to start your career in the exciting field of Technical Product Management, having completed a major capstone project to share with future employers.

This program offers a one-term co-op work term to students who meet the requirements.
