Program description - January 2027
Prepare yourself for an exciting career as a professional helicopter pilot with our one-year, three-term Commercial Helicopter Operations program. The current unprecedented demand and projected growth in the aviation industry offer numerous opportunities to excel post-graduation. This program allows you to enter the industry quickly with the necessary skills to be successful. Students enrolled in this program will have the option to complete groundschool and flight training concurrently with Great Lakes Helicopter, qualifying them to apply for a Canadian Commercial Pilot License - Helicopter.

Please note:
- Great Lakes Helicopter flight training fees are in addition to Conestoga College tuition fees.
- Great Lakes Helicopter fees total approximately $95,850, plus tax, payable over one year and are not OSAP-eligible.
- Quote includes all ground and flight hours, personal headset, and Transport Canada testing fees.
- Fees are based on an average student completing 100 hours of flight time to achieve a Canadian Commercial Helicopter Pilot License - Robinson R44 helicopter.
- Fees are subject to change and may increase depending on aircraft type or number of hours to complete licencing.
- Students are required to meet all guidelines, policies, and expectations (e.g., professionalism, attendance, evaluation, completion, etc.) stated by the academic program's flight training partner, Great Lakes Helicopter.
