Program description - January 2026

Do you want to get into the trades but don’t know where to start? Start building your foundation with Conestoga’s one-year Construction Techniques certificate program. With a focus on safety, you will learn key concepts, and develop hands-on skills at Conestoga’s dedicated Skilled Trades Campus. This unique program consists of seven-week blocks for four different trades: welding, heating ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing and masonry. Your faculty are all experienced tradespeople and want to show you why you should consider a career in their trade. This program will give you the opportunity to strengthen your math and employment skills, so you can learn what you love and be ready to pursue a rewarding career, or chose to learn more in other trade-related programs. The choice is yours!
