Foundations in Writing - Media

This course will develop essential writing skills as they relate to media. Students will learn how to convey a message effectively to a targeted audience. Sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and the rules of composition will be covered. An introduction to research techniques and resources will form the basis for applications in other courses within the program. Students will also learn how to write to specific program formats for a variety of media based platforms.

Foundations in Presentation Skills - Media

This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop and hone their presentation skills on a variety of media platforms. Both individual and group work will be utilized in the development of visual and verbal presentations. Students will develop ideas to present content using diverse communication and performance skills for a wide variety of formats as well as develop skills in conveying and pitching their creative ideas to others.
