Program outcomes

  1. Assess the potential influence of mental health and substances on persons and communities to improve provision of supports in various contexts.
  2. Advocate to reduce the stigma of marginalized people and to increase diversity, equity and inclusion within communities.
  3. Adhere to professional, legal and ethical standards, including policies and best practices to continue to advance reputability in the field.
  4. Integrate theory and practice to develop intervention strategies, isolate service gaps and/or promote well-being.
  5. Assess personal and inter-professional capabilities used to advance the overall care for people with mental health and/or addiction concerns.
  6. Interpret mental health and substance use policy to design programs and services which align with the needs of people with lived experience.
  7. Reflect critically on personal experiences, ideas and interest to determine how they intersect with research, evidence and professional practice.
