Program description - January 2026

Are you looking for a rewarding career in the automotive repair industry? Let our industry professional instructors provide you with key knowledge of the automotive trade in our two-year Motive Power Technician - Automotive Service diploma program.

Offering over 20,000 square feet of shop space, Conestoga will provide you with the skills to be job-ready as you enter this high-demand industry. This two-year program provides Level 1 and 2 apprenticeship training equivalencies emphasizing hands-on learning.

In the program's second year, you will delve deeper into related topics such as electric hybrids, failure analysis, and electrical diagnostics and repair. To broaden your knowledge and experience, we will introduce you to alternative careers within the automotive industry, such as business development, customer service, and shop and parts management.

As a successful graduate of this program, you may be exempted from the Level 1 and 2 portions of the Automotive Service Technician apprenticeship in-school training.
