Computer network technicians (NOC 2281) establish, operate, maintain and co-ordinate the use of local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), mainframe networks, hardware, software and related computer equipment. They set up and maintain Internet and intranet Web sites and Web- server hardware and software, and monitor and optimize network connectivity and performance. They are employed in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors.User Support technicians (NOC 2282) provide first-line technical support to computer users experiencing difficulties with computer hardware and with computer applications and communications software. They are employed by computer hardware manufacturers and retailers, software developers, in call centres and in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors.Information systems analysts and consultants (NOC 2171) analyze systems requirements, develop and implement information systems development plans, policies and procedures, and provide advice on a wide range of information systems issues. They are employed in information technology consulting firms and in information technology units throughout the private and public sectors, or they may be self-employed.Successful completion of this program offers the ability to extend education into more specialized areas of interest through Ontario College Graduate Certificate programs such as Information Technology Network Security.

On average, 93% of co-op and 68% of non co-op graduates from 2020 to 2022 found employment within six months of graduation.
