Conestoga has several programs that allow students to study abroad as part of their learning.
What is a semester exchange?
One or more semesters spent studying at an institution in another country.
Note: dual degree (9 months) options are available in Ireland for Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) - International Business Management (BBA-IBM) students.
How does a semester exchange work?
- Students pay tuition at Conestoga College (excluding programs offered through ISEP)
- Courses taken at the foreign institution are pre-approved by your academic chair, and credits received are transferable to your Conestoga program.
- Partnering institutions provide support, helping you live and study abroad.
Eligibility
You are eligible to participate in a semester exchange if you:
- have successfully completed at least one full semester of your program,
- have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher,
- are in good standing with Conestoga (not on academic probation, etc.) and
- are over 18 years of age.
International students interested in a semester exchange must meet with their Conestoga International Student Immigration Advisor (ISIA) to discuss visa and study permit impact and process.
Note: eligibility is subject to change based on the Conestoga program and host institution requirements
